Purpose:
Allows you to execute any pre-configured Asana feed at a designated point in a Gravity Flow workflow—rather than triggering it immediately upon form submission. This leverages all standard Gravity Flow step features, such as highlighting, conditional logic, and scheduling.
1. When to Use This Step #
Include this step when you want Asana task creation to align with your workflow’s logic. For example, send form data to Asana only after an internal approval step or at a specific time—rather than immediately at submission.
2. How It Works #
- Select this step type when defining your Gravity Flow workflow.
- Continue using Gravity Flow’s built-in step controls—like scheduled execution, conditional logic, and visual highlighting—to control precisely when and under what conditions the feed runs.
3. Setup Instructions #
- Create your Asana feed normally under Gravity Forms → Settings → Asana Integration.
- In your form’s Gravity Flow workflow settings, add a new step.
- Choose “Create Task” as the step type.
- Select the desired feed for the step to execute.
- Configure additional options, such as conditional logic, highlighting, or delays—all standard Gravity Flow settings apply here.
4. Why It’s Useful #
Advantage | Description |
---|---|
Greater control | Delay or conditionally execute task creation based on workflow events. |
Streamlined integration | Keeps form-to-Asana actions within the flow’s logic—no external triggers required. |
Consistency with Gravity Flow UX | Use familiar Gravity Flow step settings for visibility, timing, and logic. |
5. Premium Feature #
This workflow step is available only for users with the Premium version of the plugin.
6. Tip / Pro Suggestion #
Use this feature strategically to align task creation with critical workflow milestones—e.g., after a compliance check, review stage, or manual validation—ensuring that Asana tasks are built only when truly needed.
