Mass Email Notifications was built to be safe, reliable, and integrated with Gravity Forms. That means some design trade‑offs were made. Knowing them helps you plan around the edges of the system.
Preview Counts #
- Recipient counts in preview can be inaccurate if merge tags are used in conditional logic.
- Previews may display 0 even though actual sending works fine.
Misconfigured Limits #
- The plugin respects whatever throttling rules you set.
- If you enter unrealistic numbers (too high or too low), it will still obey them.
- Always cross‑check with your provider’s real limits.
Multisite Quotas #
- Limits are set per site.
- If running multiple sites on one email plan, you must divide quotas manually.
- Example: 20,000/month provider cap = ~4,000/month per site across 5 sites.
No Global Awareness #
- The plugin can’t detect other emails WordPress or plugins are sending.
- Only Mass Email Notifications messages count toward the plugin’s usage display.
By understanding these trade‑offs, you can use the plugin effectively while avoiding surprises.
