Sometimes you need to reach people who submitted a different form than the one you’re using to trigger the batch. Mass Email Notifications makes this easy with the Target Form setting.
How It Works #
- Create or edit a Mass Email feed on your control form.
- In the feed settings, select the Target Form that holds the recipients you want to contact.
- Choose the correct Email Field from that target form.
- Compose your subject and message (or use a notification template).
- Submit the control form — the batch will be created using the recipients from the target form.
Example #
- You run a Donations form and an Event Signup form.
- To send a follow-up to everyone who registered for the event, set the target form to Event Signup and select its email field.
- When you submit the control form, the plugin will build a batch of all event registrants.
Tips #
- Use Conditional Logic in the feed to further segment recipients (e.g., “Event = Gala Dinner”).
- Preview the estimated batch size after saving to confirm you’re targeting the right audience.
- Remember that deduplication rules apply — one email per address unless duplicates are allowed.
This pattern is ideal when you have multiple forms collecting different types of contacts but want to send updates across them without exporting data.
