When configuring feed settings, you may notice that certain projects, sections, assignee’s, tags, or custom fields are missing from the drop-down menus.
Why This Happens #
The integration only displays items that the connected Asana user account has permission to view. If something is missing:
- The user doesn’t have access to that project, section, or tag in Asana.
- The user doesn’t have visibility of another member you’re trying to assign tasks to.
- The connected account’s permissions have changed since the integration was set up.
How to Fix It #
- Check the connected account in Asana. Make sure the user has access to the missing project, section, or tag.
- Confirm user visibility. Assignees must be in the same workspace/organization and visible to the connected account.
- Re‑auth the integration if permissions were updated. Disconnect and reconnect Asana in the plugin settings to refresh available items.
- Manually verify in Asana. Try assigning a task directly inside Asana using the same connected account. If the option doesn’t appear there, it won’t appear in the plugin either.
What to Do Next #
- If permissions are corrected and items still don’t appear, contact support with:
- The specific missing item (e.g., project name, tag name)
- The connected user’s role in Asana
- Screenshots of the Asana UI confirming visibility of the item.
